Gettin' my nails did

Mother said I was resembling Captain Hook and I needed my nails trimmed.


So I assumed the position


I usually fall asleep while she widdles down my talons but this time she bugged me with the camera.


That was exhausting, I need a nap.

Stella you need to teach my crew something. Falling asleep while getting your nails did? My three are terrors and scream, claw and fight both my husband and I together! Brats all three of them!

Penny Lane here. You mean that having a pawdicure is not a bad thing? You get treats??? I have been screaming and raising sand when anybody tries to cut my nails! Maybe I should let them do it and get treats. Hmmmmm.

Absolutely adorable! Such a good girl to get her nails done without a fuss. Out of 3, I only have one that trusts me enough to not freak out.

Stella here. I will be holding classes at the local community college. "How to be a Compliant Pug" I will touch on subjects such as slipping into a coma while nails are trimmed, holding still while getting anal glands squeezed, and wagging tail while getting eye drops. Tuition will be steep, pre-payment of stuffies and bully sticks required.

Stella - what is the success rate for these classes?? Is there a remedial course...cuz I think some pugs will be in need of some remedial training on these skills.

I Could only dream of such behavior. Puggles becomes quite a monster when her nails are done. We have to plan a trip to the groomer for that. It is a major undertaking.

Wow, I'm jealous! We can do Lucy's nails if Kyle holds her and I clip but Nell is absolutely impossible. She bloodied the vet last time he did them.

That's amazing. It is all the two of us can do (he gets a death grip and I cut as fast as I can). I consider it my workout for the day lol.

We bow in awe of a truly amazing Pug. A Pug with intelligence, calm temperament and submissive attitude. A Pug ready to behave and do as her owner asks. A Pug bucking the system of negative Pug behaviour.

I just gave up and take Winston to the vet. I let them deal with the screaming and fighting!

Stella, you are such a good pug and also very cute.

My son just gets out the clippers and two pugs are immediately behind some easy chair or under the middle of the dining room table. The other two just don't know pugs are suppose to hate having their nails trimmed. They grew up in a puppy mill.
