Juneau is the star pupil
Juneau started his obedience classes today. He amazed everyone! Even me! He actually made a fool out of me a couple of times, after complaining that he doesn't come when I call him...well he did it every single time during class. The other dogs there were a Whippet, a springer spaniel and a golden retriever. Juneau ran circles around them! He picked every new trick up immediately, while the others were so disobedient. Juneau did not bark once and the springer spaniel would not shut up! Mind you, his owner wouldn't shut up either!
When I was leaving the training facility, I went into the store that is attached - they sell specialty dog foods and other stuff. I found bully sticks!!!!!!! I never heard of these until someone on PA mentioned them. They are $5.00 each! That is crazy! Oh well, Juneau went crazy when I gave it to him. My 13 year old was there and he asked the owner what they are made from and she paused....and said "ummm....bull penis" My son, who is the most extroverted kid you will ever meet, did not miss a beat! He says "so how many bully sticks can you get out of one penis?" She says "ooohhhhhh.....I don't know" and Darian said "well...how big is a bull's penis?" I wandered off before I burst out laughing! We got in the car and I told Darian that some people are not comfortable talking about penis'. He sighed very deeply and said "mom...if someone is going to sell as penis in their store, they better get comfortable because I'm going to have some questions!"
Touche!

Juneau is a rockstar!!! he could be one of those pugs who just likes to perform - he won't listen to you when there's no audience?? Dre can be like that...she loves to perform, but hates to "obey". lol
And Darian..hard to argue with his logic!

Good for Juneau! He is such a smart boy! And Darian is, too. Can't disagree with his logic.

LOL Your kid is a hoot! But he had a valid question! [insert rolling on the floor, crying, laughing smilie here]
Juneau seems to catch on well- getting just the cheese off your plate will NOT happen here even though LuLu is a good listener.
Definitely not surprised he is doing great at obedience class.

Great news on the obedience and how funny about your son.
I just have to say though that you did not need to rub it in so much how your pug did so well. Some of us were a bit humiliated at obedience class

Darian is 13 going on 30!
When I moved to Alaska for 2 years I took my youngest 3 kids with me (the others were on their own). During the first summer we were there, Darian refused to go back to Canada to see his dad because he wanted to experience the entire Alaskan summer and not just the Alaskan winters (can't blame the kid). So at 8 years old he is arguing with his dad every night on the phone and I just stayed out of it because the kid can argue better than me. Every night he would give his dad a new argument about the benefits of staying in Alaska...and it worked when he hit on the "...but dad...think of all the new things I can learn in Alaska that I won't learn in Canada" His dad finally bought in to that argument on the condition that he called every night and talked about each new thing that he learned about. Good enough.
So one day we are driving to Denali Park and we are going to drive on to North Pole, Alaska to go camping. On the drive the kid just talks and talks (he is still the same - he never shuts up). He starts telling me about how good it feels to touch his penis *gulp* (mind you, by the time you get to your 6th kid, you are pretty jaded anyway) and how bad he feels for girls that they don't have one. So I thought it was a good time to introduce the parts that girls do have. He was fascinated by it all and asked very scientific questions about the entire layout of a woman's anatomy. Then he went on to the size of grizzly bears and the world's largest igloo that we passed on the way to Denali (yeah...he's a guy...all about size...I'm seeing a theme here)...and that night he calls his dad from a pay phone in a pizza place to update dad on his daily Alaskan learnings. I'm minding my own business but I can hear him on the phone talking, along with every other person in the vicinity.
Then he says, "DAD! Today I found out what a clitoris is!!!" (Insert long pause here)....."No dad....not a cordless"
So what did *I* learn that day? 1) Preface every conversation about sex with "you don't need to tell the world what you know" and 2) Now I remember why we got divorced!

You guys are funny. Maybe they don't cut them up and that is what is left when they dry and shrink? Did you ever think of that?

This thread has kept me laughing. Where else would there be a discussion of penises, their size, the drying of same, and a 13-year-old? Love it!!!!
