Kayla's getting wheels!
Watch out world, here she comes!! I was researching when a good time is to get wheels for her and realized most people get them long before the dog is fully paralyzed and needs the wheels full time. Someone suggested that if there are things she can no longer do, it'd be a good time to get her wheels and let her use her wheels to do those things. I realized Kayla no longer runs and romps in the yard with Diesel like she used to - partially cuz it's winter and all the snow we have, but more so because she gets frustrated with her legs giving out and falling down. So we're going to measure her up this weekend and order her a new wheelchair.
Poor Grace - if she thought Sis was sassy before, just wait til Sis is mobile again and starts running Grace over!!

"If I were a pediatrician and a mother told me, "it's just too hard making healthy food everyday for my kid, I'm just going to feed Total cereal everyday, it's 100% nutritionally complete," we'd all feel sorry for her kid. I am a vet, and when people tell me "I've found a really good dry food, I think I'll feed it everyday for the rest of my pets life," why don't we feel equally sad?" Dr. Karen Becker.

That's great! I'm sure it'll be a huge help for her. Can you get a horn and back up sensor installed on them, just for Grace's benefit?

I'm sure we could, Amanda, but I feel she'd talk her father into disabling them for her!! But I wonder if D will be afraid of her wheels - considering last night he was afraid of Grace's Kong Wubba toy, I certainly won't be surprised if the wheelchairs scares him - such a brave young man!!
