Bear Update

Post  Dayna on 21/7/2010, 4:26 am

Well $350 later and it turns out the little monkey ate something. I'm thinking some leaves or something since he learned that trick from my inlaws husky, Brody. The vet said he had inflammation very visible in the xray and a lot of gas but no blockages. Bloodwork came back fine. He's got two meds and got some fluids while he was there. His granny is taking really good care of him. He's going to stay with them tonight so they can keep an eye on him tomorrow. Thank you all for the well wishes. They have a way of making us so worried.

Bear, you have given your momma quite a few grey hairs! I'm very glad that it is not too serious and that you will be fine. Still, you have got to stop eating strange things.

I'm glad to hear it's nothing too serious. I wish these little buggers would stay away from the stuff that's bad for them, but they just go right for it. I hope the meds kick in and make Bear all better very soon. Lucky boy to have such a good granny to take care of him!

Great news that it is nothing more serious! My bff rushed her pug to emergency once and had them do an ultrasound and xrays. It turned out to be a big gas bubble. He has a very sensitive tummy. So glad that Bear is on the mend.

Oh jeez. Well, I hope the meds work quickly for him. They will drive us all to an early grave with their antics.

Oh Bear! I'm glad they found the problem and I hope he feels better soon.

Reminds me of the time that Chester chewed on the underside of our guest bed and swalllowed a mangled wood staple. I aged 10 years each time we took an x-ray to check the progression of the staple. Thank heavens it came out okay but what a nightmare waiting.

Listen to your mama, Bear, and stop putting yucky things in your mouth. Hugs!

Glad since he's gonna be super gassy that he's staying with Granny tonight!

We are very fortunate that not only are Jaces folks retired but that they love their grandpugs almost as much as we do. Also very thankful that we have VPI pet insurance.

Hopefully he will get back to eating soon. She said he's awfully pitiful right now.

Glad it's something that will pass! Sophie ate rocks awhile back and the vet was happy to show them to me on the x ray. Laughing
