Looking for alternatives now there is a huge shortage. What are you all using instead of pumpkin?

A pumpkin shortage? I never use pumpkin so I guess I would not know. Can you buy it online?

I heard about this shortage about 4 months ago... I worried about Halloween... I found there to be no shortage.. I suppose those are different crops than the stuff going into cans?

OTOH, I have a big stash, and it is appearing in local grocers (Shaws)... at $2/can... so I guess I am hoping there will be a post Turkey sale of it (hope hope hope hope) so I can replenish!

My stores were out for about a month, about a month ago, but recently I have had no problem finding canned pumpkin. I am stocked up just in case although.

Ours too. There was one or two weeks a few months back where I couldn't find any, but it seems to be ok now.

Our local Trader Joes and Whole Paycheck, um, Whole Foods, both have it. Organic at both, and both around $2 a can.

I got nervous about the pumpkin shortage, so some of you may remember the 6 pound can of pumpkin I bought!! We're still trying to finish using up all that pumpkin. But I have seen it more available now.

All our stores are re-stocked, but I buy extra & stock up just in case. Heaven forbid if the pugs don't get their dollup of pumpkin on their dinner every night. *LOL*

Holy smokes, a pumpkin shortage in November? I just cut up and froze 4 pumpkins from Halloween. That'll do me for a year or more. I never use the canned stuff any more.
