1 yr. sentence for puppy mill case

Post  BruceLee33 on 1/26/2010, 4:56 pm

Found an interesting article..thought i'd share...

"EVERETT -- The couple accused of starving, dehydrating and suffocating at least six animals while working at a kennel in Gold Bar has been given the maximum sentence allowed. ..."

I'm assuming the six counts were because of the six dead puppies in the freezer. What about the other 150 animals, why shouldn't it be a count for each of them too? And why should they get to serve the 6 years concurrently?
I think the lady who gathered the evidence was right, these animals were stuffed in cages, these people should have to sit in jail cells (at the very least IMHO).

I don't think it's near long enough.

Definitely not enough but at least it's something. One year per animal would have been better.

Absolutely longer. Much longer. I keep coming back to how you can judge a nation's morality by how it treats the most helpless.

I agree, Donna... Usually those horrible people get a slap on the hand. It is nice to see someone get some real jail time. Not enough, but a start.
