Pet fair coming up...
On February 6th, our local feed store (where I buy 99.9% of my dog food) is have its annual 'Pet New Year' fair. There will be demos by police dogs and flyball dogs and agility dogs, plus lots of booths.

Vickie signed up Polar Pug Rescue to have a booth this year. Now something has come up and she has to be out of town that weekend. ACK! Guess who gets to run the booth? *LOL* It is only from 11 Am to 3 PM, but still.
I am making a list of what to take: We have a banner, lots of literature & business cards. I will take a couple of whichever dogs are in rescue at the time along with me. I'll have a 3-gal jug of water, bowls, treats, paper towels, wet-clean-up towels, plus my stuff. I hope to get a couple volunteers from our pug party group to come down- one for the first two hours, and the other for the last two hours.
Any ideas on what else I can bring? Or any ideas on what to expect? I've been to pet fairs, just never actually worked a booth.
Blanche, I wish I had Bob to help me!

Good call! I almost forgot! Also a couple folding chairs. They are providing tables, but I don't know about chairs.

Depending on where it is going to be held, grassy area is fine to set up the x-pen on for the pugs, but if it is being held indoors you might want to get a piece of plastic to put down on the ground and then put a blanket down and then your x-pen. We had an event at a farmers market one time years ago and it was concrete floor and the pugs were filthy after being on the floor and people who picked them up got dirty too.
You may want to bring a cooler with some drinks and snacks for you and your volunteers.

Good ideas on someting under the x-pen! I think the only thing I'll be selling is the calendars, at a discount price of $5 per calendar (to get rid of what we have left).
Duct tape and scissors is also a good idea! I am printing this thread to keep the ideas. LOL
I am making some valentine doggy treats this weekend, if they turn out good I might make some for the booth.

Re: Pet fair coming up...
MJ we have totes for the rescue that we keep everything in. One is just for supplies twine, scissors, tape, extra poop bags, etc just an idea for you. We always look for them on sale after x-mas and stock up. It so much easier to keep everything organized. Then you always have pretty much everything your going to need to do a Meet & Greet, etc.

You'll be great, MJ. We carry all our stuff in a hockey bag (of course). Tank's my event dog now that Bob, Pete and Maude are gone. I do occasionally take Hazel, but she's such a nutter.
