Gawd~ that tears me up.
I'm thankful she's in your hands now and getting the care she needs.
The Em clinic not wanting to even attempt to make her a bit more comfortable in that condition just burns me up. It would have been at least something!! Geez , have a little heart..
I'm thankful though that they did call you all instead of just dumping her off at the pound or even worse, p.t.s. without even trying to get her some help.

I agree with all of the above... No way (if I were a vet) could I turn away a hurt animal. GRRRR..... Did the vet actually know about it? I've had dealings with front-office staff (when they get high and mighty) and the vet never hears aboutit. Just a thought...

I guess when they first found her in the morning, she was in shock and not very responsive. And looks like she recently had a litter. It's so depressing.
OMG! What a sweetie. I bet the people had another dog who did that to her, and of course, they have no money.
Give her a gentle hug from me.

OMG!!! That is so incredibly sad!!! I'm disgusted in the ER vet and the people who put her there! Makes me want to hold my two sweet boys a whole lot closer!

I am trying so hard to concentrate on her future and ignore her past, but it's so hard.
Poor thing was probably used as a bait dog to get those sorts of injuries. I'm just glad she had a guardian angel that made someone leave her at a vet's (not dumped in the desert) and that the vets called SNPR. I know she'll be okay with the love and care she'll get now.

That makes me so very sad. I'm grateful the cold hearted vet had enough sense to at least call her.

omg that poor little baby.... That vet should be hung up by his balls. He should be investigated at the very least to see if he acually turned that baby away or the girls at the front did.Perhaps a story in the local paper outlining such behavor would alert future patients of that paticular vet practice..although I do not condone what the owners did by leaving the little one tied to the door, at least they thought the little one would get some help, little did they know!!!!! .Thank you everyone for helping this little one out...

Re: Incoming
Just got an update-she made it through surgery, and the eye removal was successful. She lost some of the broken teeth, but they were able to do that without jaw surgery, which is good news since she has been through so much. She needs lots of good thoughts still though, she is in a lot of pain, and our vets are doing everything they can to control it. She will be there for at least a day or two to make sure she is ok, and there is no infection after all she has been through.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Thank goodness for pug rescue.

More updates, vet said based on the clotting behind the eye, it looks like the injury was at least 72 hours old. The other eye is injured too, and will need steriod drops. She also looks like she has had many, many litters, and her ears are all fly bitten and all her wrinkles are crusted over and infected. Our president went and sat with her, everyone at the vet's office just loves her already. Oh and she is probably closer to 3 to 4 years old.
