We aren't sure yet, she will need to be at the vet for at least a little bit longer, and then it will depend on how much after care she will need.Almost everyone on our foster list has offered, it really just depends on which place is best for her to recover at!

If you do get to see her, Mel, please give her a gentle hug and tell her that healing energy is coming her way from northern Nevada. Poor little thing, my heart goes out to her.

What this poor sweet baby has gone through. It brought tears to my eyes just reading about her and looking at her photos. I am so very glad that she will finally find out what love and good care are all about. I am going to say some very special prayers for Hopes recovery.

I just got done reading everyone's posts and I lost it. I am so very sad to know that someone could do such a horrific thing to such a precious animal! And that vet!!!!....Someone needs to step up to the plate and confront that situation. If that be the case and they turned a dog away in such condition, that cold hearted asshole needs to be shut down! I know if I ran a clinic like that, I wouldnt care if I lost money or what, as long as the animals that came to me needed me, I would do EVERYTHING in my power to help them!
After going through what I through with Lucky, I am so happy that I have an ER Vet here that is fantastic!
My best hopes, wishes and prayers for Hope. Everyone is rooting for ya girly! Get better soon and know that there are Pugs around the world that raise a paw to you hoping for your quick recovery mentally and physically!

Three to four years old and many, many litters. So disgusting! It does sound a bit like Kimchi's experience without the physical end (only emotional scars for her.)
I hope you get to see her, Mel. I'm sending some extra love to take along with you.

I always think I have seen it all, and I am not often lost for words, but I am now.
I totally agree with Rona about her having been a bait dog, as well as a constant breeding bitch.
Poor, poor little mite. We send her hugs and cuddles from across the pond here.

That is what we thought too but after our vet got a closer look at the injuries, he thinks someone/something hit her, that it wasn't done by another dog. All of us have been an emotional mess, what kills me is that she is SO SWEET, I don't know how they can remain so loving. We have had so many people fall in love with her, she has touched a lot of people. She was also definitely used for breeding, our vet thinks she repeatedly had litters.

I'm sure your vet is right, Saira, poor little mite has enough to contend with, without that particular history. I've rescued a bait dog in the past, with most of his face torn off (probably by a badger), and he wasn't a pretty sight. But we got him patched up, he was adopted out, and his new owners loved him to bits until he went to the great kennel in the sky. He loved everybody but hated other animals - understandably, given the circumstances.
Bless her brave little heart, though; I'd adopt her without a second thought if she was over here in the UK. As you say - she's touched a lot of hearts.

I will just never understand how people can purposely inflict pain on animals and each other. Such cruelty is just unfathomable.
