PAWS

Post  juneau hunter on 12/18/2009, 10:31 pm

I noticed today that Juneau has very dry pads on his paws. They remind me of my dry cracked feet in the summer! LOL

Is there anything I can put on them? Should I put something on them? Maybe I'm supposed to leave it? I just feel bad for him.

What do I do?

I think there is something that you can put on them. Hoof cream? Hopefully someone in the colder climates will have some suggestions.

The beach dogs use this stuff - Bow Wow Butter Balm. The ingredients in it are great and aren't harmful to dogs.

Franklin gets them too when it gets really cold out, not sure what the butter balm is, but i just put lotion on Franklin's paws. LOL> not the smell good stuff with alcohol in it, but that Eucerin for extra dry skin. seems to work.

Big fan of Bag Balm. About $4.95 for a big ole tin at your local drug store.
