Message re: stray in Chattanooga

Hello,

Is there a chapter of your organization in or near Chattanooga, TN? A cute little pug showed up on my porch last Tuesday that had obviously not eaten in several days. She had no collar and no microchip. She has a scar across her back that appears to be healed. I think she's about 4 years old (according to the vet that checked her for a microchip).

We have put an ad on Craiglist and on the lost pet section of WDEF TV. I've checked with my neighbors and she doesn't belong to any of them. We've been feeding her and taking care of her but we absolutely cannot keep her. I have too many animals as it is (2 dogs, 2 cats and fostering a mother cat and her kittens).

If I can't find the pug's owner, I need to find someone who will take her and be good to her.

I would really appreciate any information you have that might help me find this baby a home.

I believe so. I posted on FB too so hopefully she'll see it. I emailed the woman back and told her to be careful with Craigslist since she's a female. I'd hope she's spayed but who knows.

The woman's name is Diana. She emailed me back and said she doesn't know if she's spayed but looks like she's had a litter. She may have just been dumped.

I hope the owner is not found as that poor little girl looks like she has been neglected. Has anyone talked to Jana yet?

Thanks Jana! The woman seems to want to do the right thing and appreciated the warning about Craigslist. I'm just afraid she'll get impatient and just give her to somebody.

It's a lucky Pug who picks the right porch to show up at. Unfortunately, I don't think the average person would care so much.
