In case anyone here uses this brand--both cat and dog food recalled.

Yes, I have been following this online. Apparently, Iams will not admit to a "recall" but rather is calling it a "product pull".

Bullshit if you ask me. It was price chopper that leaked the call, Iams did not publicly announce it.

Stranger and stranger. I wouldn't feed Iams to the obnoxious terrier mix who keeps trying to eat Miss Kitty.

Before I knew better, I fed my 3 former cats IAMS kibble. They all died between 11 and 13 - which is pretty young IMHO. All had liver or kidney problems that led to their demise. Now that I know more about nutrition, I cringe to think what I was feeding them. (At the beginning of their lives, IAMS was not owned by Proctor & Gamble).

I wonder if Natura foods (Evo/Innova) will end up as bad as IAMS has?

So far, so good but I do wonder about that too.

Bumping this back up.

Iams officially recalled, after weeks of denial.
