New Foster girl coming in

Post  northernwitch on 12/15/2011, 11:42 am

This poor little girl was found wandering the streets and was picked up by a local AC and brought to the shelter. So guess who's fostering her? Yes, a pom girl. Yes, I know. But word has it that she is not a Death Pom. We'll see what she's really like and I'll get some better pics when she gets here. We're waiting for transport from the shelter (out of town) to here.

I'm thinking she might be a Zelda....

She doesn't look like a Death Pom, but looks can be deceiving. I like the name Zelda.

Well, Lola didn't look or act like a Death Pom at the shelter either. It wasn't until she walked in the door that she put on the jackboots and broke out the whip.

Bahahaha, Zelda! Great name!

I can't wait to see if she channels the Death Pom or not.

I think you are in trouble! HEHE

Well, she just looks as sweet as pie in that photo. So maybe, just MAYBE, she won't take over your household and make Hazel want to eat her.

Love the name Zelda. That one's on the mental list I keep for future dogs and/or fosters.

Yeah--not sure naming her after the insane wife of an alcoholic writer makes sense.....tempting fate.

Love the name Zelda. She certainly looks sweet as pie. But looks can indeed be deceiving, and I suspect that she may prove to be a worthy successor to the Death Pom ... Laughing

Love her new name. Stephen (Pugdaddy) named his first-born foal Zelda. Princess MuMu Zelda-pops. Yes, I know....Shocked But from Stephen it's perfectly acceptable.

Bravery is your name Blanche. She looks sweet enough but we all know that can be a cover-up. (coming from the one who got chomped to the bit by a decieving looking Yorkie in the last 24 hours Rolling Eyes )

Oh I'm careful with the little dogs--chis, yorkies, poms, doxies--they all get my bite radar going on high alert. Got bit in the boob by a little dog at the shelter not all that long ago. Who knew I needed raccoon handling bras as well as gloves....

Zelda got the kibosh as Speaking of Dogs already has a Zelda up for adoption.

So alternatives are Elsa, Etta and Mae. Partial to Elsa, myself. But my favourite singer is Etta James.....

Course, I could call her Dixie Cinderella....

Renee--I actually have a relative named Dixie Cinderella. And it's a pretty common small dog name so will go with Elsa or Etta or Mae. I'll see what she's like.

It is hard to tell from the photo- but she looks like there might be a tad bit of chihuahua in her, too. Zelda seems like a great name, mostly because I don't think we have a 'Zelda' here already. LOL

Yeah--I wondered that, too, Maryjo, given the longish nose. Shelter says they've tested her and tested her and she's good with dogs and people.

And what a great voice on Etta James. Shelter says this girl has a lot to say so maybe a "vocal" name makes sense. I do like Elsa however.....

Actually I looked at that pic and thought "there's a papillon ancestor in there, I bet." But pics can be decieving so I'll withhold judgement.

She looks like an Ellie Mae to me.
