OK, Tell me I am not crazy for doing this UPDATE

Post  Donna on 1/5/2012, 5:02 pm

but it does not really matter because I am going to regardless of what anyone says!

I contacted our resident psychic Linda twice over the summer, once when Rupert passed then again when Chris and I split. She said something about Stewie's heart, she said it was nothing but to keep an eye on it.

Today at work one of my co workers dog went to the vet and they said she has an enlarged heart, then another worker said his dog had one and they never knew till he passed and they did an autopsy, so I have an apt tomorrow for nails and for Viv's butt issues and I will ask them to do an xray on Stewie's heart.

They might think I'm a nut-job when I tell them why but who cares, it will give me peace of mind.

So I went to the vets office tonight, it was mobbed, never have I seen it like that before. since I only had an apt for nails and anal glands I did not actually see the vet, so I will make a separate apt to have him checked out.

I dont think you are crazy. Linda mentioned hooli having back issues about a year before he had his injury. Andif her email hadn't always been in the back of my mind, i may not have acted as quickly.

you're not nuts. maybe it's the universe telling you to get this done and you're being smart and listening. who knows? better safe than sorry, right? Stewie is lucky to have you looking out for him.

Linda had me get Peachy's thyroid checked out. The vet rolled her eyes, but sure enough Peachy needed medication. This year Linda kept pulling at her back tooth and told me to get Peachy's looked at. I brought her in and the tooth looked bad. I paid for a dental, and sure enough, that tooth was broken in three places, all the way to the root.

Crap. I totally need to get a reading for the pugs now. Does anyone remember if Linda can do a reading for all three dogs or if she charges separately for each dog? She did a reading for our entire family before (dogs and human) but it was a more general type of reading and she basically told us we were a happy family (well, that and that Karl had dry skin, which he does). But now I think I really need one for the pugs. As if my vet didn't think I was loony enough.

Linda is pretty amazing. I had a reading a long time ago, she wrote some stuff that made no sense at all until I read it a year later and thought wow, I can't believe she picked up on that. She didn't pick up on Rupert or Chris but in hindsight not was not a bad thing, I could not have lived my normal life if I knew things were going to have turned out so badly.

My new vet is pretty awesome, I know if I get the woman she might think it's nutty but will go along with it no questions asked.

Kendie, when I last contacted her I only asked about my new life without Chris and mentioned Stewie but did not ask her anything about him, she did a reading based on my new life, Stewie and Vivian, I never said a word about Viv and she was dead on about her.

I'll let you know what the vet says tomorrow.

I had the holistic vet that used to do acupuncture on my pugs do reiki on one of my hospice dogs. It really helped him accept that she wasn't going to hurt him and he became much more tolerant of the acupuncture after that.

I would do it too. You absolutely do not even need to explain yourself. You are paying for the xray, so who cares what the reason is?

It is becoming harder for my vet to argue, now that Linda has been 2/2 with Peachy. Not that she would because she knows I try to be very vigilant with all of the pugs.

Kendie, Linda can do all 3 pugs...she is really generous with her readings.

Please let us know what she says...I'd love to know!

You don't have to be local to Linda to have a reading done. She will do it by email or phone. You just need to send her a picture.

She has been a personal friend of Roxane for many years, and she is one of my favorite people. She has been doing readings at our rescue pug events for years.

Linda had told me once that she always asks the pets permission to communicate with them. So, before PugOWeen, I told Peachy that there would be a lady at the pug party that would listen to anything she had to tell me if she was up to it. I swear, as soon as Linda got out of the car, Peachy was trotting next to her. Linda was trying to set up and Peachy wouldn't leave her side. I finally had to tell Peachy that she needed to wait her turn, and give Linda some space. Peachy had the biggest "smile" on her face walking next to her.

While Peachy was having her reading with Linda, Bubba (who was running in a pack at the party with Pugnse's Jack and my pug nephew Winston) quickly ran over to me. Linda started laughing as said, "He wants the same stuff you put on Peachy's food" and then he ran off. She gets her handful of pills in peanut butter (which she "told" Linda she LOVES). Bubba never really liked peanut butter, but I guess now that Peachy was getting it, he didn't want to be left out. He has had a bit on his bowl ever since.

She did all three of mine in one reading. I think the charge was $30.

This has nothing to do with Linda or her readings. I have heard that quite frequently a pupy can have a heart murmur. This often goes away as they get older. Hopefully nothing is wrong, but this could be a reason she said that.
