Dog Wash Results...

Post  Maryjo on 7/18/2009, 10:35 pm

I am home, exhausted, but happy! The Soggy Doggy Wash today made about $830!!!! $600 was from the baths, and $230 was extra donations!

I also came home with a 'foster'... *LOL* More on both tomorrow after I collapse!

Excellent on the dog wash. Somehow, I'm not surprised that you have a foster. Can't wait to hear more and see pics.

Pictures...

Post  Maryjo on 7/19/2009, 12:54 am

I was pretty busy, but I snapped a few pics...

We had an area set up outside where people could relax, have a soda or coffee or tea if they had to wait.

Some of the volunteers. Vickie (who runs the rescue) is the gal with the very long blond hair.

The variety of dogs we got was amazing!

We even got about 4-5 pugs! This is Socrates.
The young man helping belongs to a family of helpers that came in. They'd adopted a pug from Polar Pug Rescue about a month ago. (Not the one in the picture).

2 of our vounteers who stayed all day. They were amazing!

What a blast it was!

Nope... I was helping wash & dry dogs, running the washer and dryer so we'd have enough towels, and getting both our volunteers and people washing their own dogs supplies as needed. I was on my feet from 10 AM until after 5 PM! Whew!
