Sadie :(
I wasn't sure to post this here or in the prayers section but I thought I'd like to see this be the beginning of a good journey and happy ending for her, after what she has been through.
I met another board member this afternoon for Sadie's surrender. It was bad. The sanitized version is this: she is 5 years old, has had at least 4 litters, and we were told she had weak bad back legs from nerve damage after her last litter, and she had "some sort of discharge."
So, Linda was there when the lady surrendered her (I was running a few mins late), and she was leaking urine all over, and was covered in pee. Our vet took her back right away to get x rays done, and found this:

He said this stone was from years of being untreated, and is taking up almost her entire bladder. He also believes she has some kidney damage. Her bladder is torn. She is going to undergo surgery tomorrow to remove the stone, repair the bladder, and be fixed, but she is going to need MANY, MANY, MANY prayers to get her through it. We also aren't sure yet what is wrong with her back legs, maybe nerve damage like she said (but who knows).
I cried on my way home. I just can't imagine the pain this girl has gone through, and I really hope we can get fixed and into a home who takes care of her. Her eyes just looked so dead, not even sad.
Her surgery will also be costing us around $2000, so donations are also welcome! You can donate on www.rescuepugs.com

It's so maddening that these things happen, but then rescue comes along and turns their lives around. Lots of good thoughts for Sadie, to recover from this surgery and heal well.

Oh, the poor baby. She is a lovely girl who will, I hope, learn what it really is to be a pug. I'll be sending what I can. No creature should suffer like that.

OMG!! GRRRRRRRR Thank y'all so much for taking her in. And I know that rescues know the importance of taking a new pug to the vet ASAP, but thank goodness she got to the vet today! Keep up posted!!!

Re: Sadie :(
UNBELIEVABLE. Her torturer's (can't call them owners) should be charged with failing to provide vet care. So many prayers being sent for this poor baby.

God. People just suck. Poor little girl. I will have everything crossed for her. Keep us in the loop on her progress, Saira.
Re: Sadie :(
Thanks everyone, I will most definitely let you know how her surgery goes tomorrow. I just want her to have a chance of NOT being in pain! Our vet (who we love) is "guardedly hopeful" about her recovery, so we are all keeping our fingers crossed.
Re: Sadie :(
My god. How absolutely awful that that poor girl has had to be in pain for so long. We will keep Sadie in our prayers that all goes well with her surgery and she finally gets to experience life without pain.
Re: Sadie :(
More prayers for poor Sadie. She must have suffered so up until now. I hope she comes through with flying colors and finds a forever home that will adore her.

I can't get this precious girl off my mind. I was running errands tonight and just crying in the car thinking about her. I am sending a donation to Rescue. I pray she survives the surgery and recovery and lives to learn what love and a pain-free life are all about. Thank you to those who are giving this sweet Puggie a chance.
