My First foster is here..pics
She is a wild child, and I mean WILD. I have her at work with me, my mild manner Rupert who has never growled once in his life got so mad at her last night because she would not leave him alone he put her in her place but it didn't faze her.
Di I say she was WILD...really she is, shes on extra high all the time!

She is really sweet and funny so that helps dealing with her craziness...wish me luck with her!

Oh I can I see the Diva in her. She is adorable though. I love the third photo with her stuck lip. So so cute.
Re: My First foster is here..pics
LoL a black female pug wild? You lie!! She is adorable (of course, she reminds me of Sophie....
). What is her story again?
Good luck! I have had much success with nylabones with Sophie, they seem to keep her busy for awhile.

I thought of all the Sophie stories when she was running and biting my two like a banshee last night.
Don't know a lot about her, she is only a year, looks like she had a littler, they don't know what happened to her eye or why the puppy mill gave her up, they think she just wasn't a good breeder. She came in with three others from a mill in PA.
She is very social so far loves everyone here at work, shes running around right now with a toy, very playful and super cute and teeny tiny.. She saw the TV and a mirror for the first time last night, it's like a whole new world for her.
I would seriously think of keeping her if and only if she calms down a bit, poor Viv was so miserable, she just tormented her and Viv didn't do anything to defend herself.

Little, black, female with a bad start---yep, sounds like your typical black rescue girl to me. There seems to be a correlation between teeny size and BIG personality.
Stock up on bones and chewies and other diverting toys and pray that she settles down a bit.
She is darn cute, however.

She's adorable. I hope that once she settles in with you Viv & Rupert will get some relief from her biting.
As mentioned, nylabones are a good distraction, also Kongs with a little peanut butter or yogurt.
Good luck-is there a foster failure in your future?!?!?!

If she was calmer at home with Viv and Rupert I would keep her in a heartbeat. She is being so good at work, crazy but not to bad.
I have a week to decide what to do.

She is adorable!!! Good luck with her - hopefully she'll settle in and give Viv and Rupert a break (erm, or, based on Sophie, likely not!).

The other thing is that it often takes a couple of weeks for a dog to really settle--so she "might" calm down after a while......or she might not. I know that Leila stayed loonie (once she was feeling better) and Jem did likewise although was no where near as nuts as Leila is and was.

Deep down I'm not sure she will calm down. Last night when I brought her home I've never seen a dog fly through the air jumping down the stairs to get to the backyard then I swear she was doing back flips.
She ran and ran and ran like a lunatic. I know she was in a crate all day but still I honestly have never seen a pug so wild.
She is like a circus dog!

Yep. Been there, done that. She sounds really typical of alot of black females I've had. MEGA high energy--manic energy. Drive you up the wall energy.......
Re: My First foster is here..pics
She's adorable! She's probably so happy to be "free" she's taking advantage of it.
Thank you for taking her in!

She is super cute, and a black diva for sure. How old do you think she is? She may calm down, but it may take a few years.

Ok, my black pug Bella is the laziest one I have, but she was 2 1/2 when I got her from rescue and was a BYB. Lola was crazy, but at about 18 mos I saw a slow down. By two she was way more mello. She is adorable and I am sure once she adjusts she will learn her limits. She may just be too much for your two and if that is the case, then that is ok too, she can find a home with a buddy as crazy as she is!!! My last foster black girl was crazy active also, but if she was tired she was so cuddly! The whole day at doggie daycare was about all that did it, but she was a ton of fun!

OMG is she a cutie!! She might be crazy simply because she was probably living in a cage her entire life and now that she is free, free, free she wants to see and do it all.
I have to say, I am convinced that the black females are smarter than most other pugs. If she is such a crazy girl, she might do great as an agility pug. If you decide to place her, that would be what I would look for.

She is adorable! What a pretty face! And since I am owned by one of those little one-eyed, black divas, I can attest to their hyper-activeness!! *LOL* She'll settle sooner or later. She's just a happy girl!

That sounds like Chloé! She couldn't get enough of running in our backyard when she first got here. I believe Marci saw the same thing when she fostered her. *LOL* If I had lived in a crate my first two-years of living, I'd want to run and run too! Poor girl.
Hugs from me to her!

THAT FACE!! Yep, as others have said, whodda thunk a tiny black diva girl Pug would have the devil in her??
She's ADORABLE!!
