Natural Planet Organics

Post  MackandMattiesMom on 10/25/2009, 9:02 am

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this food? Sue-Shi has been on it for about 3 weeks now and I'm in the process of switching Mack and Mattie over. The person that gave me Sue-Shi had her on a low-grade soft food so I knew immediately I wanted her off that crap. I tried Wellness puppy and it didn't agree with her tummy at all. I went to the locally-owned store I get their food and they recommended this so I thought I'd try it. Sue-Shi's fur is so soft and her bowel movements are finally hard instead of soft or runny. Her eyes brightened right up and she's full of energy (more than before, I'm really in trouble). Their website is www.naturalplanetorganics.com

The ingredients look really good and I think it is pretty lo-cal. How expensive is it?

I think we paid around $33 for a 15-lb bag, which is comparable to the Wellness they were eating.

Looks like a good food. I'm in the process of trying to find something new for the girls. I feel like it never ends. I had decided on Taste of the Wild a while back when I wanted something with less fat in it than the Orijen I was using. Lucy refuses to eat it. So, Nell has a big bag of that to finish up and then I'm going to try to get them back on the same food. I'm trying to find something that won't bother Nell's allergies and that Lucy will eat. She seems to have a sudden aversion to anything with a strong smell or taste.

Mack is really picky about his food too and he gobbled this right down. I usually have to entice him by putting broth or something in the new food to get him to eat it the first couple times, but he tore right into this stuff. I really like it so far.

I'll look around for online retailers. The place I usually order from, which I love, doesn't sell it. I see there's a local place but they sell puppies so won't be going there.

The closest place to me sells puppies too so I drive to another place. Once we get moved, the closest place that doesn't sell puppies and carries the food will be 30 miles away. The things we do for our pugs!
