DeathPom survives dental....minus 6 teeth.
She's fine--just got a call. She had 6 teeth removed including a pre molar that was fractured. I'm to call at 4 and see when I can pick her up.
And no--don't ask for any pictures. She's going to be in the "sulking under the chest of drawers" mood for at least the next 24 hours.

I'm glad she's awake, and on the mend. I don't envy you Blanche...

All good wishes for the death Pom. So rotten to reduce her weaponry like that.

What don't you envy? The sulking pom or the hit to my credit card?
Re: DeathPom survives dental....minus 6 teeth.
Six teeth isn't bad.. She still has most of her arsenal! Give her a hug from me.

Well, my understanding is that they were all back teeth so her most useful armaments are still front and centre and likely now are very shiny......

Actually, 6 teeth is GREAT! For a 13 year old dog to still have most of her teeth, especially a pom, is remarkable. So she down a total of 7--6 pulled by vet, one left in my hand many years ago.

Yes, but does she still have her fangs?

She is going to be one chuffed Death Pom. Nevertheless, I'm very glad that she came through well, and that the only damage was to your credit card (sorry about that), and not to the vet staff.

Did you treat the Death Pom to a quick sharpening on those fangs, or did you cut and run with a simple shine? Garter snakes everywhere need to know.

The bad news (aside from the cost--YIKES) is that she did lose one fang. The good news is that she was apparently an angel. They were as surprised as I was.smoochieface wrote:Yes, but does she still have her fangs?Glad Lola is doing well! Good luck to you tonight.

We settled for a polish of the remaining teeth--no sharpening or gold points. She stoned out of her gourd and snoring at my feet as I type.
She did however make a very good effort to chase the squirrels in the yard, but she was wobbling like a sailor on shore leave and I'm pretty sure I heard squirrel sniggering.

Maybe she's now free of pain and will be of a sweet and reasonable disposition.

Glad she's home and doing well.
She left one tooth in your hand? Somehow I missed that story! Give Lola a big hug from Otto and me.

Yes, Linda, we had a disagreement over the advisability of eating rotten raccoon guts and Lola left a tooth embedded in my hand to drive home her point, as it were. It was shortly after that that I invested in raccoon handling gloves for dealing with Lola.
Re: DeathPom survives dental....minus 6 teeth.
All that money invested and she didn't get a 'grill.' Seems a shame.

I'm glad the Death Pom is back from her "Holiday". The "payment" for said holiday wasn't too bad (on her part at least). I'm sure you paid prettily.
