Heart wrenching. I just can't imagine hurting that sweet little guy when he looks at you with that sweet face. Makes me ill to think about it. I hope he knows nothing but love and comfort from now on.

I haven't heard any more from Vicki but I'm sure she'll check about him tonight! This poor baby has been on my mind all day! I think I'll be haunted by his eyes for a very long time!

Aussie Witch wrote:I just burst into tears when I saw the fear and terror in his eyes. Look at his body, you can tell how badly he's beaten. Why do people do this - WHY? I know noone can answer that, but I still have to ask. Bless you Kathy, and bless Vicky. My heart just breaks.I hope you can make him well and he can trust again. And most importantly I hope he finds the best home ever for Christmas.
I also am crying.. How dare they do this to such a helpless creature...

Don't you hate it when a picture is included? So much harder to say "no". Blanche and I had to say no to a forlorn looking little pug-girl in a shelter yesterday, picture attached. I hate that. Fortunately another rescue (non-pug) is stepping up and springing her. Very glad you are going ahead and getting this poor little fella. It's time he caught a break.

I don't have any more updates on him, which I'm taking as a good sign! I know Vicki and I are heart sick not knowing exactly what's happening with him but I know he's not with the original family.

Thank you so much for the update, Kathy. I'm keeping everything crossed for him - as I'm sure everyone else on this forum is doing, too.
Strange, isn't it. I'm an old rescue lady and I've pretty much seen it all, and heard every excuse, over the years. But this one ... his photo and his story really got to me.
And as you say, at least he hasn't gone back to the original family.

My heart is breaking for that poor little guy. I'm praying he got a wonderful forever home with people who will spoil him rotten.

Knowing he is not with his original family is good news. I can't believe what they did to that poor guy! It's completely heartbreaking!

I agree, I am so glad he is not with the his original "family." Argh, people make me so mad.

Poor little scared guy. I hope where he is going treats him like gold. He deserves a good life after what he has been through.

I've been worried that his original people got him back. It is good news that they didn't. Poor little fellow, I just want him to be safe and warm and loved.
