He's not as heavy as I expected--got him weighed and he's 15.3 kgs. which is 33-34 lbs.

He's gorgeous! I have a thing for the chunks (not that it's necessarily the best thing for them). I want to knead his back!

LOL. It's the combination of the weight on my chest (and my boobs which have really taken a beating) and the rapid fire kissing. Even if his weight allowed me to take a breath, the kissing cancels that out.

He's a very nice boy. Generally good manners and other than being much busier than I expected a 10 year old chubbs to have, he's quite delightful.

Amanda--then he's the boy for you. He's got skin, fat and hair galore. He has a HUGE coat. When he starts shedding I'm gonna get buried.

What a handsome, portly fellow! Good manners is always a plus but I bet a few bad ones might creep in after being with you a while. Not that any of yours would influence his behavior, but he'll become comfortable with his surroundings and let his guard down!

LOL, Kathy. Spoken like a foster mom. I expect something will slide in the weeks to come--I call the first couple of weeks the "honeymoon". I will say if he can't be on my chest, he's bound and determined to be under the covers. Don't know how he can stand it as he's got the heaviest coat I've ever seen on a pug. I make him come out when he starts to pant like a steam engine.

It's amazing he know right what to do, that makes me melt! I think it took CP 2 years to really sleep with us and now there is no getting rid of her, LOL

Someone, somewhere cared for this guy. Maybe his family really just couldn't look after him anymore. He's really playful for a 10 year old--loves squeaky toys, very affectionate, loves a good walk, but happy to just play with a toy in the house. NOT a weather weenie. Has a tendency to spread his pooping out over a 10 minute period so you have to really make sure he's done or he will poop in the house, but he's not had a single pee accident.

And all his bloodwork is good--still don't have his T4 results back, but everything else is good. His WBC is slightly elevated, but that could be his bad teeth and his fecal was negative. So all in all, he's in remarkably good shape.

Great update, Blanche! Does he have to lose some weight before he gets his dental?
