Well, his dental isn't till early January and he will have lost some weight by then, but my vet thinks he only needs to lose about 4 to 6 lbs as he is a BIG boy anyway. He has great muscles and no atrophy under all the lard so she doesn't feel his weight is a surgical risk given that his bloodwork is good and his heart and lungs are sound.
