New foster puppy, Pippin
This is almost 5 month old Pippin who started having seizures on Jan,. 24, then the 30th and another on Feb 6th. His owner surrendered him to rescue. He's on phenobarbital now and going to see our neurologist on Wednesday. Nice little man. Looks a bit mangey to me, but we'll see.
He has been yelled at by Theo, Tank and Lola and even the Pugcat didn't seem to be taken with him. Hazel likes him, however.

Awe, he's adorable! You are brave to foster a puppy! I don't understand how anyone could give him up!
Re: New foster puppy, Pippin
I hope that you can get the seizures under control. I hope that The Death Pom doesn't beat him up too badly!

Re: New foster puppy, Pippin
As I understand it, the owner is fairly elderly, bought three puppies for the price of one (WHAT a DEAL!!) and surrendered this one when the seizures started. She did vet him so wasn't irresponsible (other than getting 3 puppies). I'm assuming that she either couldn't afford the diagnostics or couldn't manage a dog with seizures.
So far, he's a nice little man. Not sure what I'm going to do with him tonight. In theory, he's crate trained, but he screams his head off in the X-pen. I don't think he's used to being alone. So I'll either bring a crate to the bedroom--which I don't like doing--or I'll try him in bed with us. Whatever gives us all sleep.
Lola, of course, hates him. He's pretty respectful of the older dogs which is nice. God knows when/if I can neuter him or get him a rabies vaccine. I'm sure not going to vaccinate him anytime soon with undiagnosed seizures going on.

I'll send Sue-Shi (aka Naughy, Naughty Sue-Shi) right up so Pippin won't have to be alone and you can get some rest. I know how valuable sleep is and I'd hate for you to be deprived of any more of it than you already are. You can thank me later.

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment. But with him having seizures of unknown cause, I wanted him in a home with someone home and all my "at home" foster parents were full and my only "seizure" home (Candace) has her hands full with another foster, Emi.
So he's here. He's actually a nice little man.

Cute little guy! Hope the seizures aren't caused by anything horrible.

Those are some good-sized paws on Pippin! Here's hoping that you all get some sleep and that his seizures turn out to be something non-awful. He is cute, though.

I'm jealous! I love fostering puppies. His is probably because I haven't fostered a puppy in a while and I have forgottten how tough they are. Good luck!
