Latest Foster Pug - Rowdy!

Post  Renee on 2/18/2010, 9:47 pm

Well ladies, after a short break from my last foster....I had to take a few weeks off to recover my sweet Frank being adopted...I am back in the game! My new foster is Rowdy! And...he is rowdy!! hehe. He's only 17 months old, so still quite the puppy.

Here is his picture we took tonight.

Oh my yes, he looks like he will live up to his name. What's his back story?

I guarantee he won't be a foster for long - that mush is gonna melt someone's heart pretty quickly!

Well, Rowdy really does live up to his name. He is very high energy, and the poor guy was never neutered, so that added to how rowdy he was and his marking issues. He got passed around a lot before he came into rescue. The way I understand it is that his first owner's gave him away because they couldn't handle him, and then he went through a few more homes where no one had time for him either, and then he was rescued. He was neutered as soon as he came into rescue, of course.

I think, even for a pug puppy, he is pretty high energy, but, I'm sure he'll calm down. He just needs someone to play with. My gang is pretty laid back, so I'm sure they're wondering why I invited over this whirlwind! He's been running all over, bouncing off the walls since I got him!

I think he's a great pug. He just needs someone to adopt him that will recognize that he is an active pug and can't be expected (as no pug should) to be locked up all day and then lay quietly in the evening.

He is also skinny...so we'll gladly fatten him up.

Poor little chap, that's quite some history at his young age. Hopefully a suitable permanent home will soon come along for him. Love his name, too!

I am glad you decided you were ready to foster, again, Reneé! Rowdy needs to be in a home situation, he's been at the daycare too long! I'll be looking for upates soon to add to his bio.

Well, Vickie said she might be getting in an elderly pug, in which case Rowdy would go back to day care, and I would take the elderly pug. I think it's good to see how Rowdy does in a home situation, but I think he had fun in the daycare too, because of all the activity. We'll see how it progresses.
