The BBBob appears not to be feeling too well.
Sigh. I hate the pugs being sick more than I do my kids. Bob started with more frequent sneezing the other day, and yesterday/this morning his nose was running more than usual. Of course I had to go and trim their nails yesterday so neither he or Matilda will come anywhere near me.
Matilda slept with Adam last night and Bob slept under my bed. I'm sure the dust under there didn't help matters.
He'll come out to eat, check out noises, but then he's back under the bed.
Would you give a 15 pounder a full 25mg or 1/2 of a benadryl tablet? I may try that tonight and see if I can snuggle him up in the big bed.
** editing to add ** We haven't been anywhere, so I'm not too worried about him having contracted something. In the last few weeks the only place he's been is to ride in the car with me and go through a drive thru. LOL

Poor Bob! I haven't given any in a while but I think we usually give 1/2 to Genie and Dora and they are both between 16 and 17 lbs at any given time.

Poor Bob, our vet said a full benedryl for Sophie (who is 13 lbs) is ok. It's a pretty safe drug!

Poor Bob!! My puggies hide under the bed too, when they are sick. Which is why they generally puke under there!

Do you think that he has some seasonal allergies? We just had 5 days of good weather, so I wonder if things have started to bloom and he is having a hard time.

That is what I used to give Thelma. She was around 15 lbs, and a full dose didn't hurt her a bit.

Oh no poor Bob!! I hope he gets to feeling better. I agree with Jana maybe the weather changes are affecting him and he has allergies.
Re: The BBBob appears not to be feeling too well.
Hope Bob feels better soon. I believe the recommended dose is 1mg per pound of dog, but I also remember our vet telling us it's pretty hard to overdose a dog on Benadryl because of their metabolisms. Studies have given more than 5mg per pound and it doesn't phase them.

It very well could be. He's my normally silent breather, so to hear him snort and sniffle is new. At first I thought he just stuck his nose where it didn't belong and got a nose full of dust bunnies.

Aw. Poor Bobert. I can send you Pippin to cheer you both up......

He hasn't been outside where there are foxtails, has he? A friend's Frenchie inhaled a foxtail and they went through hell trying to figure out what was wrong with him.

Penny gets 25 mg of Benadryl (I call it Pennydryl) every day, and it sure doesn't slow her down. Poor BBBob the Barker! Hugs to him.
