He is a handsome, stately fellow and I have wished many times that these guys could talk!

Re: How could this guy be a stray??
I met him tonight. Very, very good looking. His coloring is some of the best I have ever seen. He's active, happy-go-lucky, and obviously was well taken care of at some point.
But, while I was there, I met Daisy, a new girl in rescue. OMG I am in love. I'm working on DH as we speak to see if we can foster 2! I've only ever fostered one at a time, I mean, 4 pugs is a lot (for us!), but, it was hard to leave this girl behind. I should have taken pictures.

I got pictures of Daisy tonight when I took Moose for his playdate.
She was dropped off at the pound today, and they immediately called Vickie to pick her up. Supposedly she nipped (but didn't break skin) of a toddler & that is why they turned her in. The pound did some research and found out she was chipped from the pound out in the Valley (suburb about 40 miles north of Anchorage). They called the people who adopted her and found out 'they gave her away'. No one knows for sure how many homes she'd been in since hen. She was scared, but a cutie. I cuddled with her a long time while taking her picture and she settled down.
Vickie doesn't want to place her with a home with young children, so Reneé, think about it first.
Here is a pic of her:

Oh Mj - I am thinking about it. I can't make any commitment without my husband agreeing too.
But, when we went there tonight, when I met Daisy, I took my son Caleb (9 yrs old), and Daisy immediately went to him, and let him pet her, when she was still running away from everyone else. Even Vickie noticed that Daisy seemed to like Caleb right away. You have to wonder....what was the toddler doing to get bitten? And....would I get rid of a dog for nipping a toddler, and not even breaking skin? I don't know.

I think she would be nippier to a toddler, not a child Caleb's age. A toddler probably ran up to her screeching, and grabbed her- ears or something- and that could be when she nipped.
I don't know how many homes she has had, or how long those people had her. Poor little thing needs a 'forever' home!
Re: How could this guy be a stray??
Yea, it doesn't make sense that he is just a stray. He's a good looking man! I hope that he either finds his owners or his forever home soon!

More and more, I believe that a pug should/must be microchipped. I suppose that Capone is another dumped dog, but he got lucky to find your rescue. Such a handsome lad.
