Who has experience with Pheno and Kbr combo?

So Norton's seizures are happening more frequently and the doctor wants to add Kbr to his cocktail. We are going to start adding the Kbr starting on Monday or Tuesday- does any one have experience with this combo?

Yes, and it wasn't a good one. Pippin was on both and had lots of gastric issues and developed a wicked case of pica. He's on pheno and levetiracetam now with the intention of weaning him off of the pheno. It's more expensive, but in my opinion, a better drug. I'd push for it if I were you. Pheno can also have big impacts on the liver over the long haul.

Candace also has an epileptic dog and had a bad time with Potassium bromide and pheno. Her pug, Mocha, is also on levetiracetam and hasn't had a seizure in almost a year.
