Me too! It's on the DVR so I'll probably watch it over the weekend. Busy week for me.

I watched it. thought it was really good. of course got angry at how these people behave and have NO care in the world for the dogs. one woman said she killed 10-12 dogs just because they didn't LOOK good enough.
. I was also amazed at the network they had going.
all in all, great exposure. I think everyone should see it.

I watched it - thought is was very good. It's time they start exposing these things. The sad truth, though, is I'm sure many people didn't watch it or started watching it and never finished because of the graphic images they show.
Utterly disgusting how these "people" (and I use the term loosely) operate these mills. And yes, I was amazed by the network of communication the millers have with each other - how quickly word spreads when they're suspicious of someone who may be an undercover investigator. Very interesting show and I hope they do more like it.

Animal Planet here is VERY slow in showing things from the U.S. so Dog knows when or if ever it will be shown here. I'm just glad though that it HAS been done. Hopefully shows like this will educate enough people that Petland and abominations like them will feel it in the bottom line and the drop in sales will be felt up the line at the puppy mills.

Re: Animal Planet Investigates: Petland
I thought they did a great job of showing how they proved the Petland puppies camed from those puppy mills in Oklahoma. They also explained that the USDA does have responsibilities for commercial breeders, and while a particular site might receive violations and fines, it doesn't mean they make any changes.
I was also surprised at how well connected the puppy mills are with each other - that part was fascinating to me. And scary too how they circle the wagons.
I think the key in the investigation (and pending lawsuit) is the vet who has the records of the sick dogs, and having never seen some of the animals.
I thought it was soft enough that a lot of people wouldn't be horribly offended. Especially the lady who bought the pappillon puppy for her daughter and said "I didn't know we were buying a puppy mill dog" - since that happens to so many people. I am glad she was willing to say that, and then talked about how she later did the research herself to prove it.
I could go on and on... but I'm really glad they air it. And will be watching the courts closely for the outcome of the lawsuit.
