2 Old Gals (Lancaster, CA)-UPDATE Plus 1 More Male

Post  Saira on 5/18/2010, 3:59 pm

The CA rescues are full, and we said we'd take 2 "feisty" old ladies-tiny but mighty apparently (hmm..who does that sound like?). But, we need transport. Anyone in the Lancaster CA area know of anyone who might be coming this way? We'd pay for gas.

Just thought I'd check!

I can go get them on Thursday if I can be back in LB by 5. I'm not sure if that helps at all. I'll post on my other board and see if anyone is planning a trip to Vegas for the weekend.

I posted a notice/request on FaceBook as well. We'll see if I get any response/takers (of is it victims?)

I know how these feisty women are.

No news, but a funny story/idea:

My friend responded to my thread on LoT and said "Sounds like the start of a Disney movie". My response: "Movie? Hell, we could have a regular reality show about pug rescue! There are some crazy things that happen with rescue".

Anyone know any TV producers?

LoL my brother is a producer, I have TOLD him he needs to make a rescue documentary (only I don't want to be in it!!). Watch the hilarity ensue when a pug poops in the back of your car....

Darn I sure wish we could put in some underground railroad system to get some of these puggies up to Alaska!! I sure think we could help more pugs than we have, and I think our market could grow, if our rescue organization increased.

I also wish I was in the lower 48, so I could take part in these missions. I would love to help!

Latest update is: We need a leg from Lancaster to Victorville on Friday afternoon. Then we have someone willing to drive them back to Vegas.

Well, if I was the decider, I would certainly give it serious thought....But, I don't run the show. I just try to keep up.

Can Victorville take them earlier? I may be able to do it, but would have to drop off in Victorville closer to 11 or noon. I need to get Logan to a doctor's appt. in Newport Beach by 3:45.

How early on Friday can it be?

If I picked them up in Lancaster and transported them to Victorville, could I leave Victorville by 2 or 2:30?

(I have one dog walk on Friday afternoon that I would need to get staffed out - checking on that now.)

Or Lisa, if you want to split the route and bring them south towards me, I can take them through the Inland Empire into Victorville. Not sure which is easier.

I got my afternoon walk covered. I just need to be back in LB by 5. So, whatever works best I'm fine with.

I can leave LB as early as 9:30 - traffic should have died down by then too.
