Tastefully Simple Fundraiser - NIPRA

Post  PugLady3 on 6/1/2010, 10:37 am

For anyone who may be interested, NIPRA is doing a Tastefully Simple catalog party/fundraiser for the month of June (thanks to our very own, Rachel! ). Hopefully this link works:

It all looks so yummy!

What has everyone tried? What's especially good?

WOOHOOOO!!!

I will definitely be placing an order.

I assume they will be shipping to each of us directly? And about how long after the party closes can we expect the goods?

Awesome!

I haven't tried a lot of their things, but I do use the Garlic Garlic a lot-it's yummy to mix in when you're making hamburgers, or mashed potatoes, or you can even make it into a dip.
The Beer Bread is delicious-definitely worth purchasing.

I forgot to add-the Cinnamon Muffin Melts are yummy too.

The link works, Brenda.

For anyone who places an order, when you're at checkout, be sure to search for your host so that the sales are credited to NIPRA's fundraiser. The host first name is NIPRA and the host last name is NIPRA.

Christy, it really depends on what you're looking for. There are lots of yummy sauces and marinades for grilling. The beer bread - don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't like the beer bread. The desserts are great - and easy. Let me know if you see something and are wondering if it's good. I've tried most all of their products.

The nice thing about Tastefully Simple is that all of the products are either open and enjoy or you have to add 1 or 2 ingredients. They're that easy to make.

Allie, the orders will ship directly to each person. And you don't have to wait for the party to close - as soon as you place your order, it takes about 7-10 days to get your items.

Becky, I've always known you can use Onion Onion and Garlic Garlic for cooking but I've never actually done it yet. I've reminded myself to make a conscious effort to start using them this way - so much better than chopping onions or garlic.

Thanks for that tip, Rachel! I wasn't sure about how it all works since Susan set it up with you.

We've tried the potato soup mix & parmesan biscuits and those were fabulous together. I know that I bought one of the cheese ball mixes before too but I don't think that they carry it anymore (I wanna say it was an olive flavored one?). Either way, it was delicious. I'm still trying to decide what I want to order. So many yummy things to choose from!

Amanda, sorry I didn't respond before you put your order in. I haven't had the pasta salad myself but I've heard people really enjoy it. The Asiago dip mix is an older product that they brought back through the end of July - it's one of our "Returning Favorites" so although I haven't had it, I know it was a huge hit since that's why they brought it back. Apparently, it's REALLY good sprinkled on popcorn - I'm intrigued enough that I'm going to order some myself just to try it.

Oh, BTW, thank you for your order and helping support NIPRA.

Christy, thank you for your order!! The drink buckets are great and the toasted garlic and parmesan cheese ball is really good served warm.

Great minds think alike!! Too bad we can't get together to drink and eat our cheese balls!

Re: Tastefully Simple Fundraiser - NIPRA

Post  PugLady3 on 6/22/2010, 10:20 am

Thank you ALL for ordering! NIPRA has two pugs right now who are in great need so we can't thank you enough. Pudge is a 5 year old male with cataracts in one eye that are obstructing his vision and the beginning of cataracts in the other eye. He goes in this Friday for some preliminary testing & to see if we're going to have to do surgery on both eyes or just one. Either way - it's BIG bucks. This morning I dropped off Vicky, an 8 year old fawn female, at the internal medicine specialist to have a fluroscopy procedure done (kind of like a barium test in humans). She can't keep any food down unless it's pureed to the consistency of baby food. We're worried about megaesophagus or possibly esophagal strictures (we had one pug previously who we had to send to the Bridge due to these). Fingers, toes, and paws crossed that they find something that can be fixed or at least treated in some way and also doesn't cost us an arm and a leg.
