Something similar happened twice to Pugalug. One sweetheart was left tied to a picnic table beside an apartment building with a dufflebag. A resident recognized her and indicated that the suspected owner was a druggie so probably realized she couldn't cope, or got hauled off to rehab or such. Another old fella was left out tied to a telephone pole outside a coffee shop in freezing cold weather. There seems to be no depth to the callousness of humans. This one is a particular cutie. It looks like she's flirting.

She's so cute!! We have gotten so many strays that are just PERFECT, I don't understand why people aren't going nuts looking for them. She really is super adorable, she looks like trouble.

She's really a cutie pie! I can't believe someone would just leave her!

OMG! She is gorgeous!! I wonder if she was stolen and someone regretted it? But you'd think you would have found something saying their dog was lost.
Send her my way... *grin* I'll find the perfect home for her! (with the Alaska pug gang!)

Gertie really is beautiful. I always think I've seen or heard it all, but no matter how many times I come accross human callousness, it still breaks my heart. Why? Why are people like this? I don't understand it. I hope this sweet little dog can find a home that will cherish her.

What a perfect little face!!!!
A friend of mine found a little chihuahua tied to a tree in the park a few days ago. It is getting into the 100s now so it was way to hot for the little guy. She assumed it was someone's dog so left it. It kept eating at her so later that evening she went back and the little guy was still tied to the tree. She took him home and is trying to find a new home for it. People suck!

Oh she is just too cute!!! You would have to be a major a$$clown to leave that poor girl tied to something and run off. Love the name too, adorable.
Re: People continue to amaze me
She looks VERY happy that she was tied to a tree so she could come into your care! Probably the best thing her arsehole owner ever did for her.

Things tend to work out as they should. Gertie is now safe, and she is too adorable for words! Those ears do spell trouble, though....

Does anyone remember the person from PV who found a pug tied to their front porch with a note saying something like I know you are a pug person and will take care of mine?

Wow! She is so freakin' cute! If someone had told me 2 years ago that this stuff happened I would not have believed it. I don't recall ever hearing about dogs to tell you the truth. Now I see them everywhere! A few blocks from my house there is a pug that is always tied up to the back door. I have gone over and pet her a few times with Juneau and Rosco. The owners never come out. I'm tempted to steal her.
