Yay! I am one of the mods on our page, the fb page has helped us A LOT. Actually fb in general has helped us-it lets people get to know us and feel more part of the group. We've gotten a lot of foster homes that way!

Saira - that is what I am hoping!! I love your fb page for SNPR. You inspire me. I am hoping to build up a lot of fans. So far, in one day with an fb page, we have built up about 50 fans. I hope it increases every day.

It's a great tool for rescues! What is nice is now our foster homes are friends with each other, and encourage their friends to foster. We were telling some of the people there who we have gotten to know well, that before, we'd maybe only see them at Pug O Ramas, so it's hard to build up a relationship. With the electronic newsletter and facebook, it's really become more of a community and that's a really nice feeling. We got a TON of people at the meet up yesterday even with the heat-that's amazing since we usually only get a few. Lots of people who had applied were there too to see some of the adoptable pugs (including a lady who I am doing a housecheck for on Monday). It's been great and probably is what allowed us to keep going.
