Tick med ? do you or don't you and if not what do you do!

I have been waffling on not giving my guys their Frontline but am scared not to, I know a lot of people don't use tick meds. What do you do instead if anything?

I stopped using Frontline a couple years ago. I have this Neem Protect Shampoo and Neem Protect Spray, but honestly it's been a while since I've used it on them. We've never had an issue with fleas or ticks...knock on wood.

We use Frontline, but we have ticks all over the place. If I don't use it, *I* get ticks all over me brought in by the terrible twosome.

We don't use anything. The pugs have never had a problem with fleas or ticks, luckily.

Don't need it up here until we go down to CA or east. Then she gets a Frontline.

I dont use anything. Apparently we dont get ticks or fleas here in the desert, maybe its too hot? I dont know. Either way if I ever did spot one on her id probably freak and rush her to the vet. When I go back to visit my family in Pennsylvania I will probably put something on her next time since they do get ticks and fleas.

We get tons of ticks here so I don't know why I am all of a sudden changing my mind on this. Ive had them both on Frontline for 6 and 3 yrs each with no issues, I just am trying to avoid the chemicals., I keep reading about people who have used them with no problem for yrs then boom the next time they use them the pug has a bad reaction.

I use frontline plus during the warm months. During the winter I do not, but as soon as it get warm, I start. To me it's not worth the fleas or ticks. I haven't ever had a tick here, but I have found a flea or two at odd times. Nothingthis year at all, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I have also not had any problems with reactions, so I just watch each time I apply.

We have a ton of outdoor/feral cats where I live so fleas are prevalent. Stella uses Revolution every month except the really cold ones.

Absolutely I would get her Frontline or something before you go east. Penny got an awful case of fleas in NE Ohio, so before we did The Trip last summer, she got a hit of Frontline. Better safe than sorry

Here in MN we have a lot of ticks. We use Frontline during the warm months. When it freezes the ticks die! Just like the mosquitos. The one good thing about when it gets below 32degrees, THE INSECTS DIE.
