Peanut & Butters
ok - I couldn't resist sharing their story. don't hate me! I'm having trouble resisting them myself...
Please meet Peanut and Butters - What a start to life these two 8 week old puppies have been dealt! Someone abandoned them in a Dallas park in the summer heat in the middle of the day. They were left in a milk crate and were found and taken into safety.
DFW Pug Rescue was called and we were there in a flash to get them and take them to our vet.
Peanut is the little boy and he is completely blind, most likely from birth. Butters is the little girl and she is three times bigger than Peanut but appears to be in a little better condition.
Both have worms really bad - their abdomens were distended with them - and missing hair.
They both have great personalities and will be great little pugs once they have been cleared of worms and get healthy.
This is Butters (the female)

I don't have a picture of little Peanut, but can you imagine?!?!

How freaking cute!!!! If Peanut is that much smaller, you guys may want to check for a liver shunt. I am so sick and tired of people.

Oh no, I want them! I can't believe someone would dump those babies (well, wait, yes I can, people suck). They are so cute, I am so glad they are in rescue.
Re: Peanut & Butters
Well, thank goodness for pug rescue, and thank goodness for whoever found them and turned them in. How terrible they were left in a park in blistering heat. People suck, just like Saira said!
Cute names for sure, and that Butters is a sweet little thing.

Brenda - I'll follow up about that. I've only seen the prelim vet report. I think they are trying to get rid of the worms first before subjecting them to a variety of other tests...

What a sweet baby!! I hope her and her brother get well soon. Big thanks to DFW for taking them in and getting them healthy.
Re: Peanut & Butters
I love hearing stories of all you wonderful rescue folks saving lives of such sweet babies. I hate that they need saving in the first place.
By the way, cutest pair of names ever.

Re: Peanut & Butters
Fucking hell - I can't imagine the mind (if they have one) of the person who'd throw them out like the trash! Poor babies, I'm glad they're in good care now. And good call on the livershunt Brenda - definitely something to be checked.

Yup, people suck. Who would do such a thing? Butters is just adorable - they are going to have the good life from now on, thanks to DFW Pug Rescue.

GRRRRRRR makes me so so mad !!! How can someone DO THAT.
There aer so many sad stories out there...it's just not fair on these babies.
Look how teeny tiny Butters is, can't imagine how tiny Peanut is. I love their names. They're so freakin cute.
I'll pray for the two of them, a super quick and happy recovery !

Oh Lord. She looks like she's gonna be a handful when she's healthy.
And just send Peanut here. All Blind Dogs Go to Blanche's. Hazel would love to have a new puppy to order around.

Please keep us updated on these two little sweeties who have had such an awful start in life. At least they are safe now and can grow up with love and good care. Once again.......DFW to the rescue. THANKS.

Re: Peanut & Butters
not only do people suck, but BYB's suck even more! I'm guessing that's who dumped them. there's a special place in you know where reserved just for those people.
that said, what a cutie! I'm sure once you get them all fixed up they'll be out the door and into a loving home in no time. maybe put a special disclaimer on the girl about diva-ness. lol
