I have a favor to ask
Please if any of you are not already VOTING for a favorite Rescue in the Animal Shelter Holiday challenge,
would you vote for HWB of Oklahoma City. We are hoping that by banding together a PUG shelter will win. Next time I, and others will be asked to vote for another Pug Rescue, perhaps DFW. I feel that if we each vote for our own local or favorite pug rescue, NONE will ever win. There is power in uniting.
Can you all please click this link everyday and search for Homeward Bound and select OK as the state. There will be 2 listings so please click on the 2nd one which is out HWB and vote. You can vote each day. Please vote and pass the link on to everyone you know!!

Thanks and let's hope they win.....at the least the $1,000. in OKC if not the $10,000. Grand Prize.
Yesterday when I first posted OKC was 1096 in the US. In one day the jumped to 514! Now I call that progress.

Vote done. I had to find HWB out of 25 Oklahoma City listings instead of two though. Why do I always manage to do stuff the hard way?
Have bookmarked it so that I can vote once each day, hopefully.

Now # 5 in Oklahoma! Way to go! We just may get ahead of those pot bellied pigs if we all work together for HWB. There has just got to be more pug lovers than pig lovers.........

Re: I have a favor to ask
Well, I dutifully voted every day until it ended towards the end of last month.
The Pot Belly Pigs won in OK, I watched as HWB PR slid slowly downward to tenth place in the state. Sigh.
Still, I was pleased to see that a Pug Rescue got the State Prize in Vermont. Breed prejudice aside I am glad so much $$$$ was dished out to help animal rescue.
So, they are starting a new competition next week. Which pug rescue to vote for this time?? I like to spread the love, so am open to suggestions...which pug rescues are in the next competition, please? I know many are struggling, it would be good if we could all get behind a different one in each new competition. Voting costs nothing but 10 seconds of your time each day.

Re: I have a favor to ask
It truly does take many, many people and each of their groups to win. Last summer I voted for the Kentuckana (SP) Pug Rescue and they won the state. They had some rescue pug puppies at the time on a video cam and I think that helped them a lot.
However there is always next time as I am sure they will do it again. The thing is that ONE pug rescue should be chosen and ALL the pug people vote for the same rescue. None of the rescues are large enough to win by themselves.

Green Mountain Pug Rescue won their state last round - YAY!!!
But I agree united we stand. (Not to take away individual choice, of course.) I would prefer to vote for a pug rescue that hasn't yet won a prize. Waiting for nominations - who has entered this round? Anybody? I will vote for an all-breeds rescue if no pug rescues come forward but I would rather vote for a pug rescue. Stop being so damn polite and put the name of your rescues forward!
Voting for this round starts January 10.
