I'm just catching this thread now. My guess is that there would be other reasons to dislike your MIL long before this happened. I'm happy to hear that there is a good ending to this poor dog's story.

I am not a grudge holder because then it becomes about me and not about them. That doesn't mean I wouldn't say something, but sometimes silence is the best option. God is bigger than all of us and His vengeance is more powerful than anything I could conjure up. Still tough to take the high road when you deal with idiots.
