The Diva Girl is ready for forever: UPDATE

ETA: Thank Dog! The vet tech applied and her app looks great. WHEW.

It's been a bit of an up and down road for the girl, but her latest blood work is pretty close to normal and the specialist no longer wants to see her every two weeks--now she'll be a monthly visitor so it's time for Maisie to seek her fortunes in a forever home. We'll see who applies, if anyone. Her ongoing medical issues will make her "less adoptable", which is a shame because she's quite captivating in a bossy butt fawn girl kind of way.

She's come a long way from the little girl who was fed ice cream, sandwiches and salad with cucumber dressing. While she's not totally buying the "you're a dog" mantra, she's way more independent and active than she was. She's learned to sit, to be gentle (most of the time) when she takes treats. She's discovered the great joy of bones and bully sticks and she can now walk on a leash without killing me by wandering around my legs and tangling me in the leash.

Another one thriving through TLC at Spa Blanche! I must say, I can see a very nice svelte waist on that girl. Hope someone out there wants a very special, special needs Pug!

I thought one of the vet techs was interested? Am I thinking of a different pug?

She does look great, and I'm glad she's ready to start looking for a forever home.

Maisie is looking great, Blanche. I'm sure it won't be long until her furever home comes along.

No, you're right. One of the ICU techs at the emerg clinic was interested in her, but you never know if that actually translates into an application.......

Hoping that Miss Bossy Pants finds the right home. I need to catch up and find her story.

Oh hell NO! I'll take on alot of loonie dogs, but I won't touch La Lohan with a 12 foot barge pole.

Unfortunately, they are harder to euthanize when the behaviour is unfix-able.......

I do NOT wish a visit to the emergency ICU on you, but is there any way you could casually mention to them that she is now ready for adoption? They may not be haunting the website waiting but still want to adopt her.
Maybe an email with her photo and "Just to thank you guys with your work on this pug who is now doing so well she is ready for adoption" blah blah sort of thing?

I already left a message for the tech telling her that Maisie would be posted as ready sometime in the next 4 or 5 days. It's thanksgiving weekend here so no one is doing much and our webmaster is likely out of town for the holiday. So I won't panic until a week has passed since her posting as ready and no apps show up. She's not up yet--but likely will be by Monday
