Bert and Ernie from the UK - update

This morning I was the driver for Almandine as she delivered Bert and Ernie to their new mummies. These were the 2 puppymill stud dogs without names which Almandine has been fostering for the last month.
They look absolutely fantastic. Clean, shiny coats, fit, teeth sorted, neutered and - above all - happy.
Those of you on FB may already have seen that Bert's new mummy is Julia (silverlady on PV, owned by Delilah) which is just wonderful.
Ernie's new mummy, Debbie, lives fairly locally to us and is experienced with rescue dogs. Ernie will have a lovely home with her family.
I'm sure Almandine will update further in due course.
And it looks as though the last remaining pug bitch in that place has a new home to go to as soon as she has raised her litter of 6. All the pups will be sold and that, hopefully, will be the end of pug breeding in that particular establishment.
We shall now await the arrival of the next pug (or pugs) in need in our part of the country. I don't suppose it will be long.

That's great news. Tell Julia congrats for me. And good job, Almandine. the puppy mill dogs can be a fair bit of work to socialize and civilize, but they are worth every second of it.

I have been following along on FB, and was so happy to see the progress and now the happy ending. I am sure it is anticipatin of these happy endings that gets you all through the tough parts. hug dog

It's just WONDERFUL! And to Julia!?!?!? I didn't know!! I am so happy for Julia and her new baby, what a wonderful home!

That's so wonderful!! I saw Julia's post earlier today on FB. What lucky pugs!! Is Debbie someone we know from PV? I seem to remember there being a Debbie in the UK that was involved with pug welfare. I may be imagining it though.
