Pug in Coweta Animal Control

Life is cheap in Eastern Oklahoma and heaven only knows if this is a real pug----

Coweta animal shelter has several dogs in need of a loving home. We have 2 bassets 1 male and1 female. A female rat terrier, a male chihuahua, a male pug, male pomeranian, and 2 hounds. There is no rehoming fee. Please call 918-486-2137 for information on any of these dogs.

Not that any Pug anywhere should be in a pound, but is this a no-kill shelter?

This is not a no-kill shelter, I am supposed to meet them there at the crack of dawn and take the pug directly back up the highway to Tulsa, where Homeward Bound has agreed to accept him at a vet's office. Can someone cross their fingers for this guy, I have a dreadful time navigating in the early morning.

Well, Mr. Pug was handled across a locked gate to us this morning. I have seen a lot of pugs, and was prepared to see a pug cross, but---this guy was stunningly beautiful, typey, mr. personality, with dremeled toes and handsome brushed coat. He was accustomed to car rides, and watched traffic with interest. Homeward Bound took him at their downtown vet in Tulsa. I will miss him, just knew him for an hour, and will miss him. Somewhere down the line someone is going to be over the moon with him as a forever visitor.

Well that makes a nice change that he won't need a lot of medical care or training before being rehomed!

I wonder why he was surrendered or was he impounded as a lost dog? Perhaps we'll never know.
