Someone "found" a pug! *UPDATE*

Post  juneau hunter on 10/12/2010, 9:11 am

I read in our local ads this morning:

"If you have lost a 20 ish pound pug like dog, in the downtown Fredericton area please give us a call, ask for Owen or Amy"

It was posted last night, so I called as soon as I seen it this morning. Apparently "Amy" found the pug wandering around downtown and it was cold outside. She called animal control and he is off to the SPCA. I called there and they have him. They describe him as "a baby pug" and he has a microchip and collar, but the phone number is disconnected. They will keep him for 3 days and then adopt him out. This is if the owners don't come forward in 3 days.

I got first dibs on him after the 3 days!!!

Poor little guy!! It was so cold outside last night! How would he even get outside?? I don't want to think that someone just set him loose out there in the downtown area!!!

Will keep you updated!

The tougher the economy, the more doors are left open for the dog to wander out. Thanks for being on this guy's side.

I'm glad he was found and not left out all night in the cold. Hopefully since he's chipped his owners can be found, but if not I'm glad you were able to track him down and put dibs on him.

New Brunswick Pug Rescue! rofl Good thing that there are only 750,000 people living in this have-not province! I shudder to think of places like Toronto and Montreal...or even Vegas! I can be a one-woman show until I find someone like-minded. Then....we will take on the world Laughing

UPDATE:

I called the SPCA today because the 3 days are up. Apparently the owners of the little black pug came forward and picked him up. I still can't imagine how he would have gotten out of the house without anyone noticing! Hopefully he is in good hands.
