Meet Missy

Post  TxAllieGrl on 10/18/2010, 8:18 pm

Missy is in pug-boot-camp. It just irks me when people let their pugs get so fat!!

Still, she's a diva. Her foster mom will get her slim and trim in no time!

I think she looks like an English Bulldog in this one:

Dear DFW, will you help me get healthy again and find my forever home?

Yes Missy, we WILL!!

Aww she's pretty, but a chunk! I am glad she gets boot camp, and I hope she finds her perfect home fast.

she'll slim down in no time. Her foster mom has successfully taken off 4 lbs from our other chunka chunka, Barron. He came in at 38lbs...down to a slim 34 (and still losing).

Thank goodness for fosters - angels in my book!

It's so sad when people think they are "spoiling" their pugs by feeding them so much when they're truly hurting them.
I hope Missy does well in her boot camp and finds a great home soon!

Oh, she is very pretty. She'll be cute as a button when she drops about 10 pounds, and she'll feel so much better!

Yes, I agree, why do people let this happen? Don't they see that something is freaking wrong??

What really irks me is when a dog is lean and in shape and people think you're starving the dog

She's a cutie and will look even better with some pounds shaved off. I wonder if your foster home would take me in and help me drop some weight! Laughing

Beats me why people think this is okay. I've become a real hag about this issue. Okay, I've become an even BIGGER hag about this issue

Yep. Hear that one all the time. People always think many of our dogs are too skinny. The sad thing is that it means they've never seen a pug at the correct weight......

She's very cute, Allie, but she is really FAT. Tell Sandy "good work".

I am looking forward to the svelte beauty she soon will become.

I have boot camp going for a couple of porky-pugs locally who have slipped inder the radar. One I hadn't seen for 12 months and the other is new to the district. So they have their diet advice from the Mean Pug Mamma and we do walkies together to encourage them (yes I know I MUST take the camera one day).

A certain local wag thinks it hilarious that two slim ladies each have an obese pug and a santa-claus shaped lady (me) has slim pugs. He makes unfunny comments (sniff!)

What I can't understand is that in both above cases they have other non-pug dogs who are in reasonable shape. I daresay the pugs assist in their own expansion, so to speak.

Oh diva pug oh diva pug, you are so precious !

May I ask whats best to help her get lean and mean :)
Leia needs to lose a couple kg's. I'm just walking her twice a day, and feeding her Ziwi Peak, worked for Yoda
