Vinny

Post  Saira on 10/29/2010, 9:07 am

Another board member picked up this guy, who was a mess. He wasn't neutered, had a couple of growths, terribly infected wrinkles and ears, and horrid breath. This poor guy hadn't seen a vet since he was a puppy. He spent a few days at our vet getting fixed up, he's been through a lot-he lost most of his teeth they were so bad. He is about 10 or 11 years old. Send us LOTS of good thoughts we can get some of our seniors adopted out after Pug O Rama!

I saw him on FB. He is so handsome. Such a kind face. I hope that his mouth heals nicely and he finds the best forever home!

What a darling old chap.
His health problems sound very similar to those of Bert'n'Ernie who were scooped up by Almandine recently. A month after neutering, dentals, medication for ears/eyes/wrinkles/feet etc, and lots of TLC, you would hardly recognise Bert, in particular; just look on FB at Julia's pictures!
I'm sure Vinny will make equally good progress - all he needs is a loving home like Bertiebert now has with Julia. Please give him a big hug and tell him that I wish him well. And thank you for taking him in. hug dog

I have been following Bert on FB, what a lucky guy. We have such a hard time adopting out the seniors (well right now, unless they are young and/or female, we have a hard time adopting them out!), I hope people will see them in person and fall in love with them; the ones we have in are such wonderful old guys. They are sweet, well behaved, and just want love.

I saw this guy on FB too. I just love him. Why do people always ignore those diamonds in the rough? The senior males are the BEST!

I'll never understand owners that neglect their dog for years and years.

Thank heavens I am too far away to consider these guys, they would all end up here in the Pugtirement Home. Seniors are the bestest...

Well we were hoping all the seniors would get interest, they have been with us for awhile and we really would like to move some long timers out. We got in a few apps but they are for the younger ones. But we'll see, maybe people need a few days to think it over.
