Busy day!

Post  Saira on 11/7/2010, 5:01 pm

Val (another board member) and I spent our morning at our vet. We had 3 surrenders, and then 1 that has been at our vet for a few days that we needed to get pics of. So, here are a few of our incomings!

This is Buster, he is only about a year, and was too much for his owner to handle. He is soooo cute and so naughty, my weakness!! I did NOT foster him because I know I'd be in trouble. We already have at least 2 good homes for him.

These two are Tiffany and Sunshine (male)-this was actually one where I felt very badly. The lady LOVED them, they actually went to our vet, and she had taken every good care of them, but fell on hard times. She was crying, and I felt bad. They are both young, about a year and half. They both seemed pretty traumatized actually, and kept trying to go with her, it was sad.

This guy was going to be euthanized at the shelter. He had a growth the size of a lime on his foot. Thankfully it was benign, we weren't sure if we'd be able to save the toe but so far, it's looking good.

Then one sucky one, it is a 13 year old male that was adopted out by the rescue we took over for. The owner passed away and family (grr) was keeping him outside. No pics yet.

They are all beautiful, and each story is so sad. How tragic those young pugs had to be given up by their owner, and how hard to watch her be so upset. Still, I often wonder why people get puppies, and don't think about long term? I realize things happen....but, it just makes me so sad when the puppies are under 2 years old, and already being put in rescue.

I love Buster! Adorable!

How sad, I can't imagine the pain of having to give up your animals because you can not take care of them, but she did the right thing.
Buster looks like trouble!

Poor little muffins. The Tiffany and Sunshine story is so sad and yes, they look very sad.

Buster, however, looks like big trouble......

Oh he was. I drove him to his foster, and first, he got tangled up totally in the harness seatbelt. So I had to stop a few times and adjust. Then, when I went to take him out, he kept jumping to the opposite seat like a jumping bean. Trouble, I say!

I will try and find more pics-they are an awesome couple, they are fostering for us. The guy is an incredible tattoo artist, and she is a great artist. He has the best tattoos of their boston and black pug on his hands. He actually donated a gift card for a 400 dollar tattoo for Pug O Rama.

Here is his site, you can see some of his work (and he's wearing our shirt!)-if you scroll to like the 12th or 13th pic that's her tattoo he did: http://www.3lionstattoo.com/images/artists/NickBones/

I can see the fire in Buster's eyes! He's a cutie! So sad about the lady having to surrender her dogs :( But I'm glad that the other dog's growth was benign.

One more pic of Lucky, he's so stinking cute! The vet techs said he is a great pug, I believe he was an owner surrender to the shelter but am not 100 percent positive. I am hoping he can go to his foster tomorrow.

The look on Tiffany and Sunshine's little faces..... Crying or Very sad I'm just comforted by the fact she gave them to rescue and not dropped them off at the pound. The thought of those confused little faces - oh, I shouldn't think about it. They're all safe and I know they'll be going to great homes.

Oh wow!!! What sad, sad stories! I can't imagine what "hard times" could create a situation in which I have to give up my pugs, so my heart is breaking for this lady too. All the pugs are beautiful. I would love to own a little demon like Buster.

Saira you are an amazing woman!! When I grow up, I wanna be just like you! Laughing
