Thinking about changing food. again.
We've discovered that both Innova Evo and Wellness are too rich for Mr. Bogie's tummy. Just to check, we switched to a small bag of something pretty plain (Royal Cainin PUG) and his stomach problems have stopped.
Any thoughts on something that is a higher end food, but maybe not as rich?
Yeah, I know this is a hot-button issue,
so I figured those of you who'd rather not "discuss" again, might just pvt me with your thoughts.
Thanks,
Jim

Try Natural Balance or California Naturals. They're foods made for allergies and sensitive stomachs and both have grain free lines as well as grain inclusive.

My thought is that the higher protein may be what is upsetting the tummy.
I agree with Mandy, Natural Balance is a good start. Try the Natural Balance LID formulas. Or the Wellness Simple Solutions, depending on what Wellness you were using. Just check the protein levels.

Grain free is a great way to go, but grain free kibble is usually much higher in protein, in the high 40%s. Acana is a grain free kibble that is a bit lower in protein than many others, but it's still a pretty high percentage compared to regular kibble.
If rich food is upsetting her tummy and you do not think she is grain sensitive, then my suggestion would be to find a single grain, single protein kibble -- this is the simplest kibble formula you can find. Like Renee mentioned, California Natural has a good line of single grain, single protein kibble.

Toby has a sensitive tummy. I was told to try lamb for him. I looked at a lot of foods and this is what we've been feeding for several years now:
http://www.flintriver.com/productinfo.asp?pi=Flint-River-Ranch-Lamb-Millet-Rice-Dog-Food.htm
I have no idea if this is high end food, but we've had great success with it. Toby used to throw up a lot before switching to this. Now he doesn't. Poops are firm, but not hard and twice a day seems to be the average. It's all natural, human-grade ingredients, but you can read all about it. It's delivered right to your door by UPS. You can sign up for e-mail reminders to order it. I started out just feeding it to Toby for his tummy, but I feed all 3 Jones Boys this food now. They are healthy and happy and shiny!
Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I like Wellness Simple Solutions lamb and rice formula canned.
We just use the regular Super 5 mix for kibble.
Lola sometimes has a very sensitive tummy and does really well on this mix.

At our house we feed ours Natures Variety, the Prairie formula. That isnt grain free but the pugs love it. They do carry a grain free one as well called Instinct. Ive never used that as I dont have an issue with the Prairie, but im sure there are a few on here that use it though. It is a higher end but I dont think its too expensive. Good luck!

I feed both of my girls Natural Balance Duck & Potato. Mainly because Izzy has food allergies, but Aggy who has a very sensitive tummy is doing well on it also. I used to mix in some of the Science Diet prescription W/D for Aggy's stomach problems but she's been doing so well it's been 100% NB for the last several months.
