Blanche,

I am so sorry to hear this. You are my inspiration and I admire everything you do. You have made a difficult decision with no other options. I hope and pray it gets better soon.

(((Blanche))) The economy is in the dump and it certainly is hurting rescues.

I know how you feel and I pray your rescue can find some generous donors.

It just is the way it is right now here. And of course, everything hits at once. Aside from our two VERY expensive former fosters, and Posie's MCT--which we think we may be able to deal with with a second more invasive surgery and prednisone--A couple of our current fosters have developed issues requiring X-rays (about $300 a pop) AND our insurance came due (in fact, it's overdue--about $1,100).

We just managed to raise enough to cover all our outstanding debts and enough to cover the upcoming vetting until the insurance bill showed up. Now we're back to pinching pennies.

Our raffles have had to be put on hold until our application to be licensed for them comes through--that takes 3 to 6 weeks just for the application to be approved--THEN you have to get the license for each and every raffle. there is, of course, a fee for the application and a fee for every license.....

Am I having fun yet?

Okay--whining session over. Onward and upward.
