Vivian had her first dental

Vivian had her first dental
and she only lost one tooth right in the front of her mouth, so now when her lower lip quivers she looks extra cute!
She did just great, the vet said she will need one again in a few more years , there are about 5 teeth that will be a concern, we will worry about that when it happens.
Edited to say, Viv was fine with going, Rupert was a basket case! I took the day off and had to do a few errands, Rupert was beyond excited to see me when I got home and was very clingy, he could not stand that Vivian was not there, it was pretty funny.

I was so suprised by Ruperts reaction. He has never been away from her and me at the same time day in his life. She spent the first 3 yrs as an only child, she could careless is hes gone!

So glad Vivian's dental went well!
Poor Rupert, I bet his nose was going crazy when Viv got home, trying to figure out where she'd been without him.

Only one tooth extracted at a pug dental? That must be some kind of record!
Rupert's reaction to being alone made me smile. I could just picture if it was reversed -- Vivian would be standing at the door saying "Buh-bye, Rupert!"

Yup, she would probaly be saying don't let the door kick you in the *** on the way out!
No she really does love him, but she is used to being alone, he's a wuss!

Thats fantastic !!!!! YAY Viv ! Thats really sweet how Rupert reacted to her being away.
I took Yoda to our first pug meet up a while ago, Leia had to stay home as she was on heat.
Nick stayed home with Leia, and she howled this cutsie little howl until we got home !!!
Leia will be going under in Jan for her spay, first ever dental in 4yrs (stinky breath - gulp!) and a full braecacyphilic (sp!) testing, as her breathing is so bad.....
So happy all went well for you. Im super scared for Leia's

Are pugs prone to dental problems, and needing teeth pulled / dentals ??? Just wondering, of course. I don't intend to hijack the thread or anything

yes, because of the flat face the teeth are over crowded.
My vet said in the next few yrs she will need another one and at that time there are five more teeth that might have to be pulled.
My last foster had 8 teeth pulled when she had her dental, that was also because she was in a puppymill and never taken care of.

Way to go Viv! Bear and Belle are due for their check ups and I know the vets gonna mention dentals. I wonder if VPI will cover it?
