Baily-Update -NEW update

Here's the little guy from the shelter that I picked up today. He's small, only about 16 lbs. Poor guy got neutered by the shelter just a few hours before I got him so he was really out of it. They said he clearly was in pain when they tried to manipulate his hind legs and tried to bite (I would too in that shelter!), so we don't know yet what that is. He was too out of it to really get in a good examination today so our vet is going to give him a good going over tomorrow. He's so cute, and he sat very sweetly on my lap at the vet's. He definitely needs a dental and has an upper respiratory infection starting though.

Oh Bailey - you are a handsome puggy. You may feel yucky now, but you have no idea how your luck just changed for the better!!

He's really really handsome! They said he's about 4, he doesn't have any gray on him. I felt bad because he looks soo miserable. Hopefully we will get good news tomorrow.

You're right Saira, you can see the pain in his eyes. I hope he gets well and finds a great home soon.

Poor little mook. I hope he can get squared away quickly. He's adorable--even post-op with a snotty nose.

He was found as a stray, can you believe it? I'm seriously thinking there is a byb around the area where he was found, because that is also the area where Sophie was found, and another black pug, Storm, that looks a lot like Baily.

Poor sweetheart. I hope he feels better soon and finds a great furever home.

Hmm, that very well could be. Makes ya wonder.

He is so handsome! I met Saira at the vet and got to see him in person. even groggy and snotty, I still wanted to take him home!

can't wait to see the after pics where he's a happy SPOILED puggie.

I think X-rays will be needed by the sound of it - how old is he estimated to be, Saira? He looks fairly young going by the pics- 14 to 18 months maybe?

X rays are on the menu for tomorrow! The shelter said he's 4 but they are notoriously bad at guessing ages. I was thinking more like 2 since he doesn't have any gray at all on him, but his teeth are kind of icky.

I thought he looked fairly young as well. I would think 4 is a little too old. He is just adorable no matter what. I wish I could take him home!

which is why Saira won't let me adopt him! LOL I know, I'm a sucker for the black boys but unfortunately I need a backyard to handle two doggies. I know we'll find a great home for him. Just can't wait to see him all happy!

I was thinking he needs a home with a little girl to keep him company (ie Zoe :-). I think with the bad back legs he needs to go to a special home...Mel's home. You don't need a back yard. I just have a bricked in patio and I've had up to 3.

BTW...I love his name (waaaahhh)

No one is allowed to post pics of adorable black boys any longer! Baily is so cute! I just want to take him home. I hope things turn out OK with him. It will be interesting to see what his diagnosis is and I hope it is nothing too serious.
