Looking for a vet in Canada
My dear friend Sue whom I help out with pugs needing rescue in her honor is in need of a vet. She lives in Vancouver BC. Prince Peter her pug of 11-12 years has a herniated disc and also a wobbly back end. His kidneys aren't doing well either. Peter Pug means the world to her. Sue's husband has stage 4 lymphoma and she has very bad RA. If anything should happen to Prince Peter,I don't think she could handle it. I'm looking for a vet that does acupuncture and possibly chiropractic and experienced with pugs, preferably one that somebody here has used.
Any help is deeply appreciated!
Thanks,
Trish

Trish:
I would suggest sending an email to the Pug Club of British Columbia or the Pug Club of Canada rescue division. If you go to www.pugcanada.com (might be .ca) you should find emails to PCBC--and for sure you will find one for the National Rescue Chair (who is a friend of mine). I'm seeing her tomorrow so will try to remember to tell her that she might get an email from you.

Thank you Blanche. I wanted to add that Peter Pug does have a regular vet he goes to. I just know from personal experience with my own pets that acupuncture can really help with their quality of life.

Re: Looking for a vet in Canada
I'm hoping that someone can direct you. I'm on the other side of the country (obviously) so have no good dog contacts in BC. And it's hit or miss with the Pug Clubs as to who is open to alternative medicine. Worth an email in any case to see if they have any suggestions. The National Rescue Chair lives in Ontario, but does have contacts out in BC so may be able to direct you if the PCBC isn't helpful.Miss Pit wrote:Thank you Blanche.
