Fletcher Update

Post  SacramentoPugs on 1/5/2011, 2:32 pm

My scrawny little foster boy, Fletcher, was neutered this morning. He was monorchid, so they had to go fishing for that second testicle, but fortunately it was easily located in his abdomen. He's awake and will be heading home with me at the end of the workday.

His weight is up to 15.2 pounds, from 13 pounds when he arrived. I think 1.5 to 2 more pounds will make him perfect. Here are a couple updated pics so you can see how he looks with his spiffy new layer of fat. Very Happy

He'll be ready for adoption in another week or so. There's a wonderful couple with a 7-year-old black pug who lost their old pug boy a few months ago who are interested, and they'd be a great home if everything works out.

He's such a cutie with those big inquiring eyes. I'm glad his neuter went well, hopefully that great home will work out!

YAY for no nuts Fletcher!

He's a cutie, and I'm sure it's a rare treat to "fatten up a pug". Here's hoping he finds a forever home soon!

Fletcher looks a lot like a pug I briefly fostered named Rowdy. He was a beanstalk too!

I hope his potential family works out for him!

Hoo boy. Those eyes are killer. I'd be dead meat with those sad orbs looking at me.....
