Farewell Fletcher

Post  SacramentoPugs on 1/18/2011, 5:37 pm

My foster boy Fletcher went to his new home last week, complete with a new "sister," little black pug diva Bella (age 7), and a doting new mom and dad. These folks have had nothing but pugs their entire married life (35+ years and 7 pugs total) and are so perfect you'd swear they were sent over by central casting. I've already received an email follow-up to tell me that Fletcher thoroughly enjoyed a dinner party they hosted over the weekend, and spent the entire time being handed happily from lap to lap, never touching the floor.

Here's Fletcher with his new dad, Gerry. Not a great quality pic, sorry. This was about 1 minute after they met. Apparently Gerry told his wife in the car, "Now, remember, we're going to LOOK at this pug, we don't absolutely have to adopt him if we don't want to." Uh-huh. The moment he saw Fletcher, he scooped him into his lap and was cooing, "Are you my new baby? Are you? Hello, handsome boy!"

I'm awfully pleased with this adoption. Great people, great pug.

Now that's a success story! Awesome! I love when an adoption goes so well. It really makes it so much easier to let them go.

LOL. The husbands are often the weakest link.

Yay for Fletcher. Sounds like he hit pay dirt.
